IDS Awarded LEND Program to Expand Disability Leadership Training in Mississippi
The wait is over! After months of anticipation, IDS is proud to share that we have been awarded a Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) program!
Funded through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), LEND programs prepare future leaders across healthcare, education, advocacy, and related fields to better serve individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. Through interdisciplinary training, participants develop the knowledge and leadership skills needed to improve services, strengthen systems of care, and promote person- and family-centered practices.
Previously a partner in the Arkansas LEND program, IDS will now have its own dedicated program in Mississippi for 5 years. This exciting milestone creates new opportunities to develop leaders and improve outcomes for Mississippians with disabilities and their families.
Stay tuned for more information about this exciting new chapter for IDS!
