Operated by the Institute for Disability Studies at The University of Southern Mississippi, EPIC connects trained student and community &#8220;volunteers&#8221; with individuals seeking to improve life skills such as budgeting, household management, self-advocacy, and job readiness.<\/p>\n<p>Services are offered both in-person and online, providing flexibility and accessibility. As a benefit, the accepted volunteers receive a small stipend upon completing their service. EPIC\u2019s mission is to help individuals with disabilities gain the confidence and tools they need to live more independently and participate fully in their communities.<\/p>\n<p>IDS is grateful to Community Care Corps for the funding of this exciting new program to enhance the lives of Mississippians with disabilities and their families.
